What To Do In Quarantine: Duolingo & Netflix

Hello and welcome back to my blog and today’s topic is Duolingo & Netflix. While in Quarantine due to this global pandemic you may be very bored.

Unfortunately the world is not at its best right now and its safe to say many of you are at home bored, which is why I created this blog to help you figure out what to do in Quarantine.

First is Duolingo, since we have all of this spare time it’s good to go and try new things such as learning a new language. If you don’t already know what the app Duolingo is let me explain. Duolingo is a mobile app were you get to learn different languages on your mobile device, which is convenient because I have been spending a lot of time on my phone.

Languages and how many people do them on the app

Learning a new language is something that can keep you busy, instead of occupying your time with just staring at the ceiling and trying to figure out what you could do. Duolingo is also educational, at first I was very hesitant about trying this app out but it is a really good app, it teaches you language and it doesn’t bore you.

Duolingos mascot the little green bird is a reason why I keep going back to the app, that and the idea that I am learning a new language. It’s a really fun app and doesn’t make me bored right away.

Now Netflix. It’s pretty easy for me to stay in bed all day and watch Netflix. But its enjoyable just in my bed watching Netflix, and gets me off my phone. But there are some amazing stuff to watch on Netflix which gets me so addicted, so I decided why not list some of them so you could get hooked to.

Shows You Need To Watch:

  • Stranger Things
  • On My Block
  • Love Is Blind
  • YOU
  • Tiger King
  • All American
  • Ozark

Now these are just some of the most popular shows that pop up, and you should maybe invest in watching some while being bored.

Netflix is also amazing for documentaries which can sometimes be educational. A documentary that I am watching right now is Dirty Money which is about…. well big groups and company’s not handling money the right way, and its pretty good.

During Quarantine you should invest in watching Bandersnatch. Bandersnacth is from around 2 years ago but the reason I’m talking about it now is because it was interactive, meaning you would make the decisions with a remote. This was part of the Tv show Black Mirror.

Bandersnacth was about this boy living with his dad struggling to make a video game that is choose your own decisions, and he’s also trying to get a job. But all of that changes when he gets the job and meets one of the people who is amazing at video games. Now I’m not the best at explaining stuff but all I can say is it really goes down in the movie and you should really watch if its still on Netflix. But it was so fun picking what the character would do as well.

Well that’s the end of this blog, I hope these two new ideas will keep you entertained.
